Early Morning Shenanigans

Note: This is being posted with quite a delay, but I told Bast I would likely post it, so I’m following through with that!

Sunday night, before finals week was properly upon us, the whole gang (except for Bast) lurked in 500 and pretended to study. As Fritz, Finn and Junhi can attest, the night was spent with Bill attempting to study while being social, me screaming, “The immune system is so cool!” repeatedly, and eventually conversation devolving into the politics of several issues none of us knew we had opinions on. Then, at two in the morning, we fell prey to a clever advertising ploy on campus by high-tailing it to our on-campus “Denny’s” spin-off to buy two dollar meals.

Well, when I say “we,” I refer first to only Fritz, Finn, and I, and then to Fritz, Finn, Bast and I, and then to the entire population of UNP campus.

It was late, and we were all tired. Finn and I stood in line behind Fritz and Bast and waited quietly to get to the register, occasionally exchanging glances when they began to have conversation or do things that we didn’t understand. It was an amusing endeavor, and by the time we got to order (half an hour later), we managed to swipe a table and sit down.

Conversation then turned to fanfiction and anime. After a few minutes of trying not to butt into a conversation I didn’t really understand, I offered Fritz and Bast SWIGGITY SWAG as my attempt to introduce them to a new fanfic. (SWIGGITY SWAG was introduced to us through the Hoopers—Eric stumbled across it with his roommates and reviewed it extensively, which you will be able to see if you click on the reviews page.) After being told it was a horrendous excuse for fanfiction, we sat and talked about various animes until we had received and consumed our food (with Bast eating Junhi’s bacon as well—we were meant to bring something back for him, but Bast wanted his bacon, and he decided to sleep instead of come, sooo…). We then returned to our dorm rooms, talking along the way about writing and poetry and such.

I extended a formal invitation to Bast for her to write something to put on here, so you might should be prepared for that in the future!

Anyway, I’m going back to reading SWIGGITY SWAG now.

What? It’s terribly written and a horrible excuse for literature?

Whatever. I’m done with finals! I do what I want!
